Open for Business!

DBLA is a brand new landscape architectural practice, this is a brand new web site, and I am excited to open these virtual doors!

I have more than 10 years experience designing and building landscapes and water harvesting systems - working throughout my career both independently and for other companies, variously as laborer, foreman, project manager, designer, and landscape architect.

I am also fortunate to have colleagues whose expertise adds value to my practice.  Landscape architect Bobby Markowitz and I have worked together on numerous rainwater and greywater projects, from small residential to large commercial, with storage ranging from a couple thousand gallons to over one hundred thousand gallons, and I am proud to be carrying on his rainwater torch, so to speak.

I am passionate about sustainability.  As your landscape architect I will strive to design systems and places that achieve all of your goals, in creative and efficient ways, and also work to protect and enhance the environment.  I believe that the needs of people and of ecological systems do not have to be at odds with each other, but in fact can be complementary.  In other words, we have the power and opportunity to benefit the environment, and doing so can benefit our quality of life, and that of future generations.

That is my work, and I would love to be of service to you.
